Friday (4th Apr 08) evening, calicut bus is @ 9:15. supposed to reach destination by early morning 5:00. it was 1 1 1/2 hrs late. auto pidichu straight to deckku's house. kurachu visramichu.. then took a bath and by then breakfast was ready. i remember it to be dosa & chutny .. and ofcoz' fish curry too (for calicut ppl breakfast with fish curry is no a new stuff ;)). by around 10:30 AM we started our journey towards mukkom. need to catch REC(ippo NIT) bus from palayam stand. by then sooryan thakarthu light adichu kondirikkuva... appozhaa rameshintae call vannathu, asking us to buy one fancy lamp for two rooms. athu medikkaan busy calicut streets-il ethi... veyilintae ghaadinyam parayaanilla.. thoppiyum kudayum illae (allenkilum athokkae bore allae ?) .. aadhyam kanda elelctrical shop-il kayari... aavvoo... enthoru sukham aayirunnenno .. marubhoomiyilae thanal maram polae thonni! . 2,3 fans were blowing there. asked for fancy lamp. showed us the items kept on the wall. ellaam podi pidichirikkuva...()but the biy there told good pieces are avilable) pinnae paisa kuravullathu mathi ennu avan prethyekichu paranjittundu. Thus we selected 2 of those. thought of gifting him. athinu gift wrap onnum avidae illaayirunnu. bought that from another shop and made it look like some soopper gift :D .
view from that electrical shop (oru antique look undallae ?)Then, a 45 minutes journey from calicut city to mukkom. need to get down in the stop after maambatta, pratheeksha (there is a school in that name there). we reached his place by around 12:30 PM. its a naadan village, way to his house was a "varambu" it was lil congested still lush green un-used paadam , kamukukal, and vazha thottangal ellaaam oru puthu jeevan tharunna effect aayirunnu.
Hero was quite busy. we went inside his house, it was painted new and was looking good! had a lime juice which and we had to do the that lamp fitting :D .. electrical okkeyyaa padichathu pakshae inganae okkae paranjaal .. hmmm .. we sat on the floor and started assembling the dismandled pieces of that fancy lamp (ramesh appozekku purathu poyirunnu). it was crazy felt it like solving a jigsaw puzzle. avasaanam njangludae apaara budhhii upayogichu athu fit cheythu .. yes ofcoz' it does look like a lamp! :D.. wall-il fit cheythillattto .. athinu verae electrician chettan vannu .. :D.
Outside, there sadyavattathintae orukkangal nadukkuvaayirunnu. time was 1:45 PM. vishannittu vayya. lunch-inu ividunnu enthenkilum kittumo ennariyilla .. ennaalum pratheeksha undu .. :). thought of going around the vazh thoppu for some snaps. tried to catch those "kokku" but athinu famous aakenda ennu (parannu poyi). appozhaa dekku oru njandinae (yes, crab) kaanichu thannathu. in that vazhathottam coun;t believe. enganae jeevikkaenda njandaa.. ithaa ividae oru vaazhathoppilae vella chaalil .. hmm ..
2:15 PM aayi, appozeykkum aalukal unnaan irikkunnathu kandu .. nammalum chaadi irunnu. eh, kai kazhuki pinnem vannirunnu :). kollaamaayirunnu .. aaa ucha time-il choodu chorum choodu saamaarum .. pappadom .. :D was swetting like hell... still it is a wonderful feeling .. !!! oonu kazhinju kurachu visramichu .. appo shiny ethi .. avanumaayi kurachu kathiyadichittu pinnem green side-ileykku irangi .. for a photo session .. :D .. appozhum ramesh was busy .. at times he will come to us and say something .. :) ..
Evening aayappo shanawasum ethi, shiju and his some mtech friends and manoj. pinnamburathu vellamadi paaartyum undu ! nammudae area allaathathu kondu angottu poyilla.. (viswaasamillae .. ??? ithaaa.. prashnam .. ah, enthu cheyyaan .. )
By evening, thirichu pokaaan time aayi naalae raavilae thannae varaaam ennu paranju irangi. enikku vaere oruthanem koodi kaananam. calicut city-il thannae. avante kalyaanam annu raavilae aayirunnu but there in shornur. avidae varae pokaan pattillallo, so thought of meeting him once he come back that day evening. btw, ramesh's wedding is on sunday. on the way back we planned to see a glimpse of the new mall opened in calicut city, focuz mall. It was like forum in bangalore (not tat big, still almost the same feel) with escalators and all. people were stuggling to get in to that.
By then we were tired, but have to catch vijesh also. other guys which i was mentioning whos marriage got over that day early morning. went to his hous at 8 in th enight, they were all chatting , and as a big katturumbus we peeped in :D .. 10mnts i spent there. urakkam vannittu vayyayirunnallo. dinnaer kazhikkan nirbhandhichu but, peethu-intae veettilum dinner eduthu vechittundu. so, ividunnu dinner offer nirasikkendi vannu .. but oru autralian white wine thannu .. verae entho saadhanam aanonnu aadyam samshayichu. adutha bus pidichu dekkoontae veettil ethi. had a light dinner and with a plan of leving early morning by 8 to ramesh's house ZZZzzzzzzz-pt !!!!
